Eat Seasonally: A Month by Month Look at Produce in Season

I generally try to eat food that’s in season. I’m by no means perfect at it but I have found that when I eat in season 1. the produce tastes better 2. It cost less! I get so excited when summer comes around because it seems like almost everything is in season! I can get fresh peaches, apricots, cherries, corn, strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon, just to name a few! The summer months are definitely the best time to stalk up on fresh fruit and vegetables, but you will always be able to find something year around. Today, I wanted to share with you what’s in season month by month, so…

It’s super easy and definitely tasty, both of which are very important to me. For this recipe, all you have to do is grab some chicken, the vegetables you want and a few seasonings and you’re good to go. For these kabobs I chose green and…

    Veggie Wrap With Mango Salsa

Hi everyone! Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite easy lunches, my mango salsa wrap! I created this last summer and I find myself gravitating towards it when I don’t have much time for lunch. I usually have the veggies on hand but if I don’t have everything, I just mix and match to create something similar! My favorite veggies to put on my wrap are cucumber, spinach, cherry tomatoes, pepper, and avocado. Like I said, if you don’t have something on hand or you’re not a fan of one of these, just swap it out for something you do like! 🙂 I also like to put brown rice on…

5 Tips For Eating Healthy While On A Budget

I am a huge proponent when it comes to eating healthy! I enjoy feeding my body what it needs and I love feeling good from the inside out.  I haven’t always been aware of what I was putting in my body though.  In fact, it took my body completely shutting down, before I started making some much needed changes. Over the past couple of years, I have been more aware of what I’m putting in my body.  I am not obsessive by any means, but I do like to nourish my body to the best of my ability. With healthy eating comes a higher cost though, or does it? I…

    My Favorite Weeknight Tacos

Kendall and I usually have tacos at least once a week. Sometimes twice and occasionally three times! No shame here. 😉 haha. We eat tacos a lot and I have tried many different combinations but I have found, the simpler, the better! I can’t eat dairy, but Kendall can and I don’t think he even added any cheese or sour cream to these tacos because the flavors already work so well together. Although, if you want to add sour cream and cheese, go for it! We like to put cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, red onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime on ours. I love these corn tortillas for this recipe.…

Before we get into the cooking/recipe, I want to tell you three reasons why I like making this meal: It’s incredibly EASY! You pretty much throw some chopped up vegetables in the oven, boil some eggs and whip up some sauce! It’s packed with ingredients that fill you up and give you energy. It’s a great meal to make when you…
