Two Juice Recipes
I have to be honest, I’m definitely more of a smoothie person but when I found out that I could make juice in my Vitamix, I decided to give it a go! Over the weekend, I experimented until I found a few different juice combinations that I enjoyed. So, today, I’m going to share them with you!
Here’s what you’ll need for the carrot, apple juice
- 4 carrots
- 2 apples
- 1 lemon
- 1 knob of ginger
- 1/4 cup water
Blend and then filter through a strainer bag before drinking.
Additional Notes: You can always add more lemon at the end if you need to. Also, you only have to use the strainer bag if you’re using a Vitamix instead of a juicer.
This carrot, apple juice is a great starter recipe. I highly recommend this one if you are wanting to try juicing but want something easy to start with. I could also see this recipe being a good starter recipe for kids! It’s a great way to sneak in some extra fruits and veggies into their diet. 😉
Here’s what you’ll need for the green juice
- 2 cups kale (chopped without stems)
- 4 cups baby spinach leaves
- 1 medium cucumber
- 1 small red apple
- 1 cup parsley
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 ½
lemons , juiced - 1 knob of ginger (optional)
- 1/4 cup water
Blend and filter through a strainer bag before drinking.
There you have it! I always like to put my juices in the fridge for a couple of hours after I make them because I like to drink them when they are cold. It just makes them that much more refreshing!
Thanks for reading! Let me know if you end up giving either of these recipes a try. 🙂
