Refreshing Strawberry, Watermelon Smoothie!

Wow! These last two weeks have been crazy! Between work, photography, summer activities, trying to figure out my class schedule for next semester and planning a trip, I’ve been busy! It’s a good busy though, especially since I’m entering into the peak season for photography. Kendall and I actually got to shoot a wedding over the weekend together, which was SO fun! The more I shoot weddings, the more I enjoy them, especially when I get to work with Kendall. 🙂 We have fun shooting together. Hopefully I will be posting a recap of the wedding we shot sometime next week, but today I’m sharing a simple smoothie recipe that is so good!! This isn’t necessarily a good smoothie to drink if you’re looking for something that will keep you full in the morning but rather, when you’re wanting something simple and refreshing to drink during the hot summer months.

You know the drill, the recipe is below. 😉

This smoothie only consist of four ingredients! Watermelon, frozen strawberries, protein powder and chia seeds. If you prefer to skip the protein powder and chia seeds you could just do watermelon and strawberries! It would still be delicious and a great treat for summer. If you are wanting more smoothie recipes for summer I posted a strawberry, peach lemonade smoothie recently and one of my favorite green smoothie recipes.

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1TB chia seeds or flax seeds
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2-3 cups fresh watermelon

Blend together in a blender and top with chia seeds, enjoy! 🙂

Let me know if you end up giving this recipe a try! Thank you for reading and stay tuned for some photography posts within the next couple of weeks! 🙂
