Peppermint Tea Latte
Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve written a post on here. I’ve actually been missing it a lot lately but I vowed to slow down over the holidays so I haven’t been posting as much. Although, I just had to share my new favorite latte with you guys!! It’s actually a tea latte but it’s still very delicious. I’ve been on a peppermint tea kick lately which I tend to do around the holidays because peppermint reminds me so much of Christmas!
Speaking of Christmas, are you guys ready for it? I can’t believe how fast it’s coming!! I kind of want it to slow down so I can really savor this season. I can’t complain though because I have some fun holiday traditions planned for the next couple of weeks! You’ll have to let me know if you have any fun things planned for the Holidays. I enjoy hearing what others do, as far as traditions go. Anyway, I always tend to get off topic when I’m doing a post so let’s get to the recipe!
Here all of the ingredients I use! Super simple. I don’t use both honey and maple syrup but I wanted to share both options with you in case you prefer one over the other. I tend to use maple syrup more frequently in this recipe but honey is delicious too!
This is my favorite honey!! I would link it but I get it from my local’s farmer market. I actually bought a couple during the summer and sadly this is my last bottle. I’m hoping it will last through the winter but it’s so good, so that may not happen.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-2 bags of peppermint tea (depending on how much peppermint you like)
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk (or any milk you’d prefer)
- 2-3 teaspoons of maple syrup or honey (depending on how sweet you like it)
DIRECTIONS:
Put almond milk in a pot and place it on the stove over medium heat. After the milk has heated up a little, place 1-2 bags of peppermint tea in the pot at let them steep for 5-7 minutes.
Lastly, add the desired amount of maple syrup or honey and blend with a hand frother. If you don’t have a hand frother, you can also place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until the tea is frothy.
Pour in a mug and enjoy! I would imagine whip cream and peppermint sprinkles would be good on this too but I’ll leave that up to your discretion. 😉
That’s all for today! Let me know if you end up giving this peppermint latte a try. Merry Christmas (almost!). 🙂
