A Day At The Park With My Nephews

A few days ago, I decided it was time to get all my nephews together and head to the park! I have three nephews. Mason is my sister’s baby and he is almost a year old! Then my other two nephews Brysun (7) and Logan (5) are my sister-in-law’s kids. Kendall and I were dating when Brysun was born, so it’s been pretty fun to watch him grow up. He almost looks too grown up though! It’s crazy how time flies. I decided to take my camera out while we were at the park because I want to have pictures to look back on from different stages of their life.…

    Basics For Starting A Budget

I have to start off with a disclaimer, I’m definitely not an expert in finance but these are the things that I have done and that has worked for me personally. Everyone has a different financial situation so therefore everyone’s budget is going to look different. Try and figure out what works for you and leave the rest behind. Ultimately, the way that I learned how to budget was through trial and error. Kendall and I sat down a few times when we first got married and we tried to create a budget. Well, let’s just say we didn’t stick to it! haha. We finally sat down towards the end…

Here’s what you’ll need for the carrot, apple juice 4 carrots 2 apples 1 lemon 1 knob of ginger 1/4 cup water Blend and then filter through a strainer bag before drinking. Additional Notes: You can always add more lemon at the end if you need to. Also, you only have to use…

    Veggie Wrap With Mango Salsa

Hi everyone! Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite easy lunches, my mango salsa wrap! I created this last summer and I find myself gravitating towards it when I don’t have much time for lunch. I usually have the veggies on hand but if I don’t have everything, I just mix and match to create something similar! My favorite veggies to put on my wrap are cucumber, spinach, cherry tomatoes, pepper, and avocado. Like I said, if you don’t have something on hand or you’re not a fan of one of these, just swap it out for something you do like! 🙂 I also like to put brown rice on…

    Marriage Q+A

Today I’m sharing a marriage Q+A with you guys! Kendall and I have known each other for a little over eight years and we have been married a little over three, so we are by no means marriage experts. But, we thought that it would be fun to give you a peek inside our marriage. Let’s get to it! What has surprised you most about marriage? Kendall- I guess it’s not entirely specific to marriage, but maybe how repetitive things are. I know I’m where God wants me, but when I look back on what I previously imagined, it just wasn’t as ritualized. I guess the parts I had never…

My Favorite Protein Powder+A Green Smoothie Recipe

A few years ago, I was on the hunt for a protein powder that worked well with my body. I ended up trying several different kinds but couldn’t find one that didn’t make me sick or give me a migraine. But finally, I discovered Tone It Up Protein Powder and I’ve never looked back. 😉 I love this protein powder because it’s plant-based and contains no whey! It’s easy on my stomach and it has never made me sick. I have been using it for three years now and it is hands down my favorite protein powder. Above are my three favorite flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, and Coffee. I tend to…

5 Tips For Eating Healthy While On A Budget

I am a huge proponent when it comes to eating healthy! I enjoy feeding my body what it needs and I love feeling good from the inside out.  I haven’t always been aware of what I was putting in my body though.  In fact, it took my body completely shutting down, before I started making some much needed changes. Over the past couple of years, I have been more aware of what I’m putting in my body.  I am not obsessive by any means, but I do like to nourish my body to the best of my ability. With healthy eating comes a higher cost though, or does it? I…

    My Favorite Weeknight Tacos

Kendall and I usually have tacos at least once a week. Sometimes twice and occasionally three times! No shame here. 😉 haha. We eat tacos a lot and I have tried many different combinations but I have found, the simpler, the better! I can’t eat dairy, but Kendall can and I don’t think he even added any cheese or sour cream to these tacos because the flavors already work so well together. Although, if you want to add sour cream and cheese, go for it! We like to put cabbage, tomatoes, avocado, red onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime on ours. I love these corn tortillas for this recipe.…

Veggie, Protein Bowls With Cilantro Sauce

Here we go! Another week, another recipe. 😉 I posted this last week on my Instagram stories and I had a lot of people message me asking for the recipe. I decided to put it on here to make it easily accessible for anyone who wants to try it. Before we get into the cooking/recipe, I want to tell you three reasons why I like making this meal: It’s incredibly EASY! You pretty much throw some chopped up vegetables in the oven, boil some eggs and whip up some sauce! It’s packed with ingredients that fill you up and give you energy. It’s a great meal to make when you…

    Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

Today, I wanted to share a smoothie recipe with you that I created last weekend. I have tried several smoothie combinations and this one is in my top five favorites. I like it because it is filling and keeps me satisfied for a couple of hours. It’s packed with nutrients and it tastes delicious! It also contains a lot of food staples, so it makes it easy to make whenever I feel like having a morning or mid-day smoothie. 🙂 Pictured above: oats, cinnamon, peanut butter, flaxseed meal, vanilla protein powder, and unsweetened almond milk. I will do a post soon going into more detail as to why I use…
