My Favorite Protein Powder+A Green Smoothie Recipe
A few years ago, I was on the hunt for a protein powder that worked well with my body. I ended up trying several different kinds but couldn’t find one that didn’t make me sick or give me a migraine. But finally, I discovered Tone It Up Protein Powder and I’ve never looked back. 😉 I love this protein powder because it’s plant-based and contains no whey! It’s easy on my stomach and it has never made me sick. I have been using it for three years now and it is hands down my favorite protein powder.
Above are my three favorite flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, and Coffee. I tend to buy the vanilla most frequently because of how versatile it is, but I do really enjoy all of the flavors. I like mixing the chocolate protein powder with peanut butter, oats, banana and almond milk. As for the coffee one, I keep it pretty simple and mix it with bananas, cinnamon, and almond milk. I use the vanilla in several different smoothie combinations but my favorite way to use it is in my green smoothie!
Below I’m sharing my green smoothie recipe. I drink this smoothie almost every day because it’s so hydrating and super easy to make!
- ½ cup Coconut Water
- ½ cup of water
- 1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Flaxseed Meal
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 handful of spinach or kale
- ½ Cup Frozen Mango
- ½ Cup Frozen Pineapple
- ½ Frozen Banana
- Blend and Top with Chia seeds (Optional)
